Lumatek’s 1000W 400V Grow Bulb is Double Ended Pulse (DE), has been designed for use with Lumatek 1000W Pro 400V electronic ballast and uses ceramic arc tube technology, high quality and a horticultural gas blend specification that creates optimal spectral output for healthy plant growth.

Double ended HPS lamps are more stable than traditional single ended HPS lamps and this allows them to have a 10% increase in light intensity and PAR / PPF power. The increased light intensity also allows this lamp to be positioned further away from the plant canopy increasing the light footprint and uniformity of light if desired.

The PCA ceramic arc tube allows the lamp to operate at higher internal temperatures increasing color rendering, output and efficiency. PCA resists interaction with chemicals within the tube which stabilizes the chemical mixture throughout the life of the lamp, thereby improving color consistency and maintaining PAR / PPF level. Pulse technology enables faster start-up and restart times, longer lamp life and less lumen maintenance.
