The HPS 250W 240V Lamp is an impulse lamp designed for use with Lumatek 250W 240V electronic ballast and is manufactured using high quality ceramic arc tube technology and a specific horticultural gas mixture that creates a spectral emission optimal for healthy plant growth. The PCA ceramic arc tube allows the lamp to operate at higher internal temperatures increasing color rendering, output and efficiency. PCA resists interaction with chemicals within the tube which stabilizes the chemical mixture throughout the life of the lamp, thereby improving color consistency and maintaining PAR / PPF level. Pulse technology enables faster start-up and restart times, longer lamp life and less lumen maintenance.
